Rachell Avery
Senior Manager
Rachell Avery serves as Senior Manager at Women Leading Ed, supporting member engagement, the annual Women Leading Ed Summit, and the organization's network cohorts and coaching programs.
Prior to Women Leading Ed, Rachell served as Senior Manager at Empower Schools, a national education non-profit advising government agencies and school districts. There, she led large-scale grant implementation and program design across multiple states, including a portfolio of Indiana school improvement initiatives and wraparound service programs serving thousands of students in Louisiana charter networks.
Rachell has spent her career at the intersection of education and youth advocacy, beginning as a classroom teacher, then working in student affairs, juvenile justice, and community-based youth programming before moving into education strategy and program leadership.
Education
Rachell earned a Master of Public Service and Administration, with graduate certificates in Public Management and Nonprofit Management, from Texas A&M University's Bush School of Government and Public Service, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Memphis.
