Emerging State Executives Network
The Emerging State Executives (ESE) Network is a game-changing initiative that supports and elevates extraordinary women into key state education roles across the country. This highly-selective program is designed to equip proven women leaders with the tools, guidance, and network they need to take on top positions in state education agencies (SEAs) and drive lasting change where it matters most. As new opportunities arise, the WLE ESE Network ensures these leaders are ready to step into roles where they can make a lasting impact.
The program is intentionally limited to ensure an intimate, powerful experience. By joining the WLE ESE Network, women leaders will gain access to:
A lifelong membership in Women Leading Ed.
Admission to the Forum for Educational Leadership.
Participation in the SEA Community of Practice.
In-person and virtual peer-to-peer development sessions.
Shadowing and sponsorship opportunities with former and current SEA leaders.
Personalized coaching, job search, and placement support.
Training in board relations, public speaking, and media engagement.
Real-world consultancy sessions focused on critical educational issues.
The WLE ESE Network is overseen by Dr. Julia Rafal-Baer, founder and CEO of Women Leading Ed, a distinguished education leader with a proven track record of creating impactful organizations and programs that touch nearly every student nationwide. Her initiatives, including Women Leading Ed, the Forum for Educational Leadership, and Future Chiefs and Women in Leadership, have reshaped education leadership across the U.S. She is joined by a powerhouse group of women SEA leaders from bipartisan administrations nationwide, all committed to empowering the next generation of educational leaders.
